FRIENDS AND FOES

According to me, friends always fall into two categories :The honest and the dishonest

An honest friend is the loyal one who says straight to your face ; "You are wrong, bro. You should not be doing this !" Or " Buddy, I admire you for this ". He is there to watch your back in times of trouble and shares your happiness when you win a race. This is the most ideal friend. But, as per my experience, most around us keep away from this kind, because people generally don't like to be told  " you are wrong " .

A dishonest friend is like an advertisement which promises you all the good times but behind lies a face that cant be brought out in the light. They sing with you as long as you can sing , dance with you as long as you have two legs, they will clap for you even when you do the cheapest thing;but the moment you fall, the moment you start talking sense- trust me , they wont even remember your face.

And for some reason, many of us think that the people who always say " yes" to us are our friends. But,  isn't it obvious that the ones who are your friends will always mean good and be brutally honest?

I have learned from many of my friends , small yet priceless lessons. The biggest lesson I learned was from one of my best friends who told me ; " if you keep trying to tell your friends when they are wrong; one of them will slap you one day " .

Is honesty the best policy?
